Today in class:  We turned in the Make A Test assignment and reviewed for the unit test.   In class we worked on this review assignment.

Homework: Finish the review work (NO late work) and study for the test.  Also don't forget about extra credit!

Today in class:  We turned in the lab from yesterday and in class worked on this websearch on cloning and genetically modified foods.

The review sheet was also given out for Friday's big quiz on Ch.13.

Homework:  Finish the websearch if needed.

Today in class:  We turned in "Why Aren't Plants Always Green" from Friday and worked on this Make a Test activity.  

We also went over this review sheet for Thursday's unit test on Photosynthesis.

Homework: Finish the Make A Test if needed and study for the unit test.

Today in class:  We graded the homework from Friday (if you were absent, you will need to turn this in) and completed this bellringer. In class we went over these notes on the human genome project - access the powerpoint here.

We also did this practice together in class on DNA fingerprinting.  If you were absent, complete it and have Mrs. Anderson check it.

Homework:  Complete this lab "Who Did It" - if you were absent, see the provided sheet to complete Part A and then complete the rest of the lab.

Announcements:  (BIG) Quiz on Ch.13 on Friday - extra credit for this mini-unit on biotechnology due before the quiz.

Today in class: We turned in the cacao article questions and completed this lab together in class as a demonstration.

In class we also worked on this lab Why Are Plants Not Always Green.  This is an extension of the previous lab on Why Are Plants Green.  The 3rd graph from the new activity should be completed on the same graph from the previous lab.  You will also need the Internet or other resources to finish the questions.

Today in class: We went over the Ch. 13 review questions assigned earlier this week and finished the film GATTACA.  In class we completed the rest of the film questions and the post viewing questions.  If you were absent, you may either use this synopsis of the movie or come in to make up the last part of the film to finish the questions.

Homework:  Review your notes on Ch.13 biotechnology and p.382 in the text.  Complete this concept map & section review.  For help with the question on cystic fibrosis, see this website.

Announcements: Unit quiz in biotechnology next Friday.

Today in class: We went over the quiz on photosynthesis and completed this plant fact with some related tasting.

In class we finished the video and questions from yesterday.  See Mrs. Anderson if you were absent.

Today in class:  We continued with the film GATTACA and will finish with the conclusion tomorrow.  You may answer as many questions as you can so far in this viewing.  There will also be time in class tomorrow to do the post viewing questions.

Today in class:  We turned in the study guide assigned Monday and took the quiz on photosynthesis.  If you were absent, you will need to make up the quiz when you return.

In class we answered the first part of these questions for the video "Death Trap" on carnivorous plants.  See Mrs. Anderson if you were absent.

Today in class:  We turned the review questions assigned Monday and started the film "GATTACA".   You are expected to answer the questions given out on Monday throughout the film.  If you were absent, you will need to see Mrs. Anderson about make up ASAP.

Homework: None but you can fill out as many of the video questions as you choose.  Also don't forget about extra credit!
