Accounting I (Available to 10-12 grade)

Prerequisite: None
This class provides personal and professional accounting knowledge. Students develop the ability to analyze business transactions and create financial statements occurring in the accounting cycle. Accounting for sole proprietorships and corporations is emphasized. Computerized accounting using Peachtree software is also introduced.
Accounting I and II will also learn how to create Excel spreadsheets.
Accounting II (11-12 grade)

Prerequisite: Accounting I
This is an advanced course for students interested in furthering their knowledge of accounting. The course covers much of the same materials students will study in beginning college accounting or helps you find a job as a bookkeeper. The accounting cycle and advanced accounting procedures are emphasized. Accounting for partnerships and corporations are introduced along with accounting for departmental, branch, and manufacturing systems. Computerized accounting using Peachtree software is continued as well.
